In Silico Fermentation offers extensive expertise in developing, writing and executing federal research grants. We can leverage this experience to provide industrial and academic partners with research services through project subcontracts. Our capabilities can be used to augment existing projects with a modeling component or to launch seed projects aimed at scoping the utility of modeling approaches. We have substantial experience working with academic groups and industrial research and development organizations to integrate our computational models with data collected from in vitro cell culture experiments, in vivo microbiota-host studies, and fermentation process operations. We can partner with academic groups to conceptualize and prepare research grants for submission to federal agencies such as NIH, NSF and DOE. For industrial organizations, we can provide metabolic modeling and/or fermentation components to support federal SBIR submissions, especially Phase II proposals which often seek a computational modeling component to augment proposed experimental work.
